When a glass unit breakage occurs, safety always must be a priority, particularly with high level windows and overhead glazed applications. The breakage will need to be replaced but in the short-term our site team will remove the broken glass or damaged framework, preparation of the opening and installation of temporary boarding / weatherproofing.
During the make safe, we’ll check all glazing and framework, weather flashings and vents that interface the damaged glazed area.
Once the emergency make safe works have been completed, our office based projects team will provide a fully bound technical report including full detailed glass specification identifying specialists body tints, production sizes for replacement purposes, details of gasketry, unit fixings and dimensions for any damaged framework to include paint finish and colour, we’ll also detail any other critical information required for the replacement to be conducted at a later date.
